Research

At the present time, most of my research concerns either democratic theory or practical ethics, especially the ethics of militant protest. Typical of my recent work are three papers that I delivered at conferences in the first half of 2007: “Deliberative Democracy and Animal Rights Activism,” “The ‘Language of the Unheard’: When is it Permissible to Participate in a Riot?,” and “The Militant Protester as Model Citizen.”
